Archiving of my stories is hereby at an end.  Permission will not be granted to any more sites.  There is a distinct possibility that I will be contacting the sites that already have my works and asking them to remove some or all of them.  I will update this post if things change.

ETA: In addition, all stories posted to the message board, whether adult or not, can now only be read by members.  Not that I've been writing lately, but If people are going to be so untrustworthy about my content, I'm not going to make it easy for them.

I'm sorry to see the site essentially closed, Ardath. Pitch Black fan fiction was my introduction to the fan fiction universe, and your 'Apprentice' was the first story I read. Everything I've read since has been measured by that yardstick. Not many have lived up to it. Stories about Riddick have simply ceased to be written now. One can only hope that 'Babylon A.D.' will spark the same passion that our favorite killer did.

Well, the site will stay open, but it's a lot more guarded than it used to be.  I had a very unpleasant experience with the owners of a site, back in January, who apparently felt that anything anybody ever did in Vindom was fair game for whatever they wanted to do with it, and that if we didn't like that, it was our own fault for putting things out in the open anyway.  And anyway, their reasoning went on, they were doing us favors by promoting our names on their sites.  (A claim I might have found easier to believe if one of their mods hasn't proceeded to do his or her level best to drag mine through the mud.)  A semi-retired fanfic writer who isn't looking for further publicity is pretty much stuck locking things down if she doesn't want to deal with that crap.  It's a shame.  I do hope to get back to writing more on my stories, in the future, but... they'll probably only be updated here, and possibly a few other very select places I trust to respect my wishes regarding my works.

Oh, Ardath, I can't tell you how sorry I am that people have abused your fic this way.
You are one of the few bright lights in my FanFic world. Cincoflex for CSI, Mel. White for Lone Gunmen, and you for Riddick.
(I've been completely sucked into Battlestar Galactica on Sci-Fi this past 4 years, or I would have known about this sooner!)
I hope this shift in your site has given you peace of mind and someday, somehow, "Even Lions" will have a resolution.
