Holy War

I noticed in most of your Imam point of views, Riddick is a bad guy and his relationship with Jack is bad. So, what about an amused Imam, thinking of Riddick as a boy just discovering the girl he ‘liked’ and Jack’s own inexpert flirting. With Imam watching over the courtship, possibly through the years, with good natured humor, and joy at Riddick’s unfolding humanity and Jack’s own girl side.

Wow, I’ve never read this fic before. I like it. There’s not that many Imam POV fics out there, so it’s always nice to find one. Imam’s observations are quite disturbing. Although my little shipper heart rejoices at the hint of any R/J relationship, I realize that this one would not be healthy. I always prefer to have Riddick wait for her to grow up before pursuing any kind of romantic/sexual relationship, but it doesn’t look like that will happen in this fic. Of course sometimes that rule doesn’t apply. (Him waiting for her to grow up.) For example, “The Cost of a Single Kiss.” Jack is 16 and Riddick has already had semi non-con sex with her in “The Interlude.” The last sentence of this fic was written perfectly. I agree with Imam, but I just don’t see him being able to get the drop on Riddick long enough to kill him. I can just see poor Imam being the one getting killed and poor Jack being left alone with Riddick for him to prey upon her. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed the fic. Keep up the good work on all your fictions. You’re an excellent writer. I know you might be sick of hearing it, but I wouldn’t be mad if you wrote a sequel to Apprentice. 😉 ~Dawn~ Smut_Angel@yahoo.com
