  1. Just found your site from your AO3 after reading through Forbidden Gifts there and I just wanted to say again how much I adore this fic!!! You’re such an incredible writer and the things you did with the original film’s narrative and how you moved the characters and story in your own direction is so impressive. I adored reading it and if/when you do ever keep working on it, I’ll be so excited to see how it continues!!!

    1. Awwww, thank you so much! I do plan to continue it soon. I’m trying to update and even finish all of my unfinished works, and this one holds a very special place in my heart. The only reason my intensive bouts of writing stopped was because I had to redirect all of that energy into my Master’s Thesis, but I never intended to stop entirely. I’m so glad the story works for you, too! Playing with ways to fix an outcome I wasn’t happy with, without contradicting the narrative, became really important to me when I was writing in one fandom where some fans I dealt with were self-appointed canonicity police and would jump on anything that they could claim contradicted what had appeared onscreen. But that turned out to be a cool challenge. I’m very happy it makes sense in this context, too. Hopefully I’ll have a new chapter for you to read soon! 💖
